It quiets the gun a little but with an A5 quiet is really not possible, lol. It is a lot more accurate then the stock barrel even with dimpled paint the difference is highly noticable. The 14'' barrel gets in the way a little when moving through heavy brush (so prepare for some scratches) but it doesnt hinder. For short to medium range its the perfect barrel if you have no money but need a bit more accuracy and range. It arrived on time in fact in half the time. Its a great deal for a player on a budget and for a mid range highly accurate gun. I was at my local paintball field last weekend and was talking to a guy that had this barrel for his A5 (he had upgraded his gun to something else). He offered to let me try and and I wound up buying it from him right on the field. I had a standard stock barrel on my A5 and this upgrade was great. Accuracy is much much much better. Paintballs go straighter and don't have that arc anymore. I was shooting right on point with where I wanted to go. I really like the barrel, but you have to be careful carrying your marker (gun) as it does make it a little harder to shoot around corners and I noticed I drug it in the dirt a couple of times as well due to the length (I had my gun attached to a harness and if I bent down it would drag. Just make sure you have a barrel sleeve on it when not using.) Someone else noted the logo is upside down as well when you put it on the A5. Mine is that way too.
